Welcome to Guided Growth!
Hi! I’m Emily, the owner of Guided Growth, LLC.
When I created my practice, I had this idea that you can enhance your life even if you are already generally happy or successful. If events from your past, or patterns in your day to day life have you feeling blocked, stuck, frustrated, or in pain, I’d like to help. To do this, I provide an integrative and highly supportive environment. A safe-haven for you to be creative with your ideas and interact more effectively with the world around you. I support your unique process as you discover the mysteries and revelations of your own mind. I want only to guide you. To watch you grow to understand yourself in ways you never imagined possible
I love what I do and I believe that comes across in the work. If anything I have said resonates with you, I hope you will reach out!

Counseling & Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy:
Harm Reduction
Harm reduction therapy is an approach to treating substance abuse and addiction that focuses on minimizing the negative consequences associated with drug and alcohol use, rather than requiring abstinence as the primary goal.
The primary objective of this type of therapeutic support is to enhance the overall well-being of individuals who use substances by reducing the risks and harms associated with their use. This approach acknowledges that some level of drug use may persist despite treatment efforts and aims to meet individuals where they are in their journey toward recovery.
This approach is geared toward:
Substance Abuse Treatment & Support
For clients seeking to obtain or maintain complete abstinence from substances I utilize various therapeutic approaches to help you address the underlying psychological and emotional factors contributing to your use and together we work toward your recovery one day at a time.
Working with me will:
Brainspotting Therapy
Brainspotting is a safe and effective therapy that was developed by David Grand Ph.D . Brainspotting locates points in the client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain.
This process allows the client to access and process deeply held trauma or distress in a safe and contained manner. Brainspotting aims to engage the deeper parts of the brain where trauma and emotional experiences are stored. By directly accessing these neural networks, the the therapy can facilitate the release and resolution of emotional and somatic symptoms associated with past traumas or distressing experiences.
Brainspotting is effective with:
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in
partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms. I take on the psychotherapy portion of the experience, while Journey Clinical’s medical team supports you on all medical aspects. This includes determining eligibility, developing a custom treatment plan, prescribing the medicine and monitoring outcomes. Below is more information about KAP to help you navigate if it may be a good fit for you.
Ketamine is a legal, safe and effective medicine used to treat a variety of mental
health conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ketamine has
rapidly-acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to
take effect within 1-2 hrs. after treatment and last for up to 2 weeks. It works by
blocking the brain’s NMDA receptors as well as by stimulating AMPA receptors,
which are thought to help form new synaptic connections and boost neural
circuits that regulate stress and mood. Ketamine has also been shown to
enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement.
What is Journey Clinical?
Journey Clinical is a platform for licensed psychotherapists to incorporate science-based psychedelic therapies in their practice safely and effectively starting with Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Journey Clinical’s in-house medical team takes on patient eligibility, prescriptions and outcome monitoring, while I take on the therapy. Their collaborative care model is designed to deliver personalized treatment plans to meet your individual needs and improve long-term outcomes.

“My mind is so busy, I really need to meditate.”...“My mind is so busy, there’s no way I can meditate.”
Familiar dilemma? Rather than quitting meditation or trying to wall off the monkey mind, Ralph De La Rosa suggests asking yourself a question: If you were to stop demonizing your monkey mind, would it have anything to teach you?
Poignant and entertaining, The Monkey Is the Messenger offers a range of evidence-based, somatic, and trauma-informed insights and practices drawn from De La Rosa’s study of neuroscience and psychology and his long practice of meditation and yoga.
